The first archaeoparasitological data on the Russian rural population in Western Siberia in the 18th–19th centuries

The life of the long-established Russian inhabitants Western Siberia has been well described. In fact, archaeological, ethnographic, and other information on its various aspects is abundant. Archaeoparasitological data, hand, lacking, particularly with regard to parasitosis incidence. present study, eggs such fish parasites as Opisthorchis felineus Diphyllobothrium spp. were identified in soil samples taken from sacral surface bodies that had buried Gornopravdinskiy burial ground (on Lower Irtysh River) 18th or 19th centuries. study findings indicate was a key component diet rural population area. No statistically significant sex differences consumption identified. parasitological spectrum under consideration narrow relative diversity parasitoses urban populations. This fact probably reflects lower-intensity flows, their limited radii, different economic activities pursued by those people. Based archaeoparasitological latter seem have closer practiced indigenous populations Siberia.
